Nothing traditional about a full tang on a Japanese shaped blade. Like namesake Anna Gardner, chef and restaurateur of Umma's, authenticity is not the pursuit. Rather, inspiration and interpretation.

San Mai (3 layers) laminate steel of 26C3 High Carbon Steel wrapped in 410 Stainless Steel
Cambia ash scales with brass and black fiber liners and brass pins.
Hand wash only with water and mild detergent. Towel dry.
Never wash in dishwashing machine.
If the wood starts to feel dry, coat with thin film of oil and beeswax then buff for luster.
