Version 2.0 of the Anna nakiri. Same blade shape and function but with a more comfortable handle and housemade laminate steel.
Full tang Japanese style vegetable knife, aka, Nakiri.
Nothing traditional about a full tang on a Japanese shaped blade. Like namesake Anna Gardner, chef and restaurateur of Umma's, authenticity is not the pursuit. Rather, inspiration and interpretation.
6" Laminate Steel of 52100 core wrapped in 410 stainless with a nickel shim.
5" Stabilized Cherry burl scales with black fiber liner and brass pins.
Hand wash only with water and mild detergent. Towel dry.
Never wash in dishwashing machine.
If the wood starts to feel dry, coat with thin film of oil and beeswax then buff for luster.
